SERVICES & PRICING
Clear services. Honest, flat pricing.
I help families across Placer & Sacramento County handle their divorce and family law paperwork — accurately, affordably, and without the cost of an attorney. As a Legal Document Assistant (LDA #23-003 · Placer County · Registered & Bonded), I prepare your court documents from the details you give me. You make the decisions; I make sure everything's done right.
A Legal Document Assistant is not an attorney and cannot give legal advice or represent you in court.

WHAT I HELP WITH
Services & Pricing
Every matter is different, but my pricing is always flat and upfront — no hourly billing. Prices shown are starting points.
Divorce & Legal Separation
All of the services below also cover Legal Separation — just let me know which one you're seeking.
Default — No Spouse Participation
For when one spouse files and the other isn't participating — absent, unreachable, or not responding.
Summary Dissolution
A simplified divorce for qualifying couples — married under 5 years, no children together, no real property, limited assets and debt.
Divorce — With Written Agreement
Both spouses agree on everything, including a full Marital Settlement Agreement — filed jointly or through the standard process, depending on your situation.
Divorce — Detailed Written Agreement
For more complex agreements — detailed parenting schedules, real property, retirement accounts, or significant assets and debts.
Divorce Response
Your spouse already filed and you need to prepare and file a formal response.Time-sensitive — usually due within 30 days of being served.
Custody & Support
Custody & Parenting Plan — Agreed
Establish a new custody arrangement or modify an existing one — when both parents agree.
Child Support — Agreed
Establish child support for the first time or modify an existing order — when both parties agree.
Spousal Support — Agreed
Establish, modify, or end spousal support — when both parties agree.
Court Orders
Request for Order (RFO)
Ask the court to issue, modify, or enforce an order — when the other party won't agree, an order isn't being followed, or you need temporary orders.
Change an Existing Court Order — Agreed
Simple agreed changes, clarifications, or corrections to a family law order already in place.
Name Changes
Adult Name Change
Includes petition preparation, publication coordination, and the order after hearing.
Minor Name Change
Includes required publication, notice to the other parent, and the order after hearing.
Already Started? & Case Review
Existing Case or Document Review
A review of existing paperwork or a case in progress — applied toward your services if you continue with NewLeaf.
Already Started Your Case? (Case Takeover)
If someone else started your case — whether it needs finishing, corrections, or a full rebuild — we begin with a $150 file review (credited toward your work). After the review you get one flat price for exactly what your case needs. No hourly billing, no guessing before I've seen the file.
After-Hours / Priority Appointment
Priority scheduling outside standard business hours when your timeline needs it.
Court Filing Fees
Court filing fees are paid directly to the Superior Court, not to NewLeaf. Fee waivers may be available depending on income. Summary Dissolution & Joint Petition: one joint $435 filing fee.
Payment
Payment is collected at your initial appointment. I accept card (via Square), cash, check, and Zelle.
